Who is Jesus? That’s a good question. Many people through the ages have asked this question.
Who is Jesus? How can I know Him? He is not here physically that we can go visit Him and get to know Him. So how can we find out who He is? Jesus Christ is revealed in the Bible. We can know so much about Jesus from the Bible. There is simply not enough space in this webpage to write everything about Him. But what is written here is to encourage you to want to know Him more, to love Him more and to worship Him all the days of your life.
The Bible tells us that Jesus is God. He is the Creator. Through Him, all things were created. That is if there is no Jesus, there would not be a ‘you’.
He is the radiance of the glory of God and He is the image of the invisible God. When Jesus came to this world as a man, the fullness of God dwelt in His body. Jesus shows us what God is like.
Jesus didn’t come to the world just to show us what God is like. He also came to restore us to God. He is the Saviour. He came to save us by dying on the cross for our sins. No one can go to God except through Jesus. We cannot come to God through any goodness of our own. We can never reach His standards. Even if our actions are good, the motivations of our hearts are wrong. Try as we might, we keep sinning. We are sinners. Jesus came to be our Saviour.
Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. He will come again to judge the world and everyone will see Him. At that time, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord.
Jesus once told a story about the Kingdom of God. He said the Kingdom of God is like a treasure hidden in the field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Jesus is that treasure. We pray that you will be like this man. You will find Jesus to be such a treasure to you.
We should do something with what we know of Jesus. We cannot take a neutral stand. Your eternity hangs on it. He is too important for us to ignore. What will you do with Jesus? He came to give us life, peace and joy. He is knocking at the door of your heart. Though He is God, yet He will not barge into your life without your invite. He is knocking. Will you let Him in?
